Legislative Commemoration at State Capital – Feb. 21

The Lincoln High School Marching Band will be presented with a Legislative Commemoration before the Senate and the House at the State Capitol building in Pierre on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. The Commemoration is specifically regarding the accomplishments of the Marching Band throughout the 2017 season, but it is also a reflection on the band program as a whole.

Parents are welcome to drive up separately to attend the tour and presentation as well.  There will be a lunch provided for students in the Rotunda of the Capitol. The Senate will Gavel in at 2:00 pm and the commemoration will be read by Senator Jack Kolbeck on the floor and he will introduce the Band Leaders and others present. We will then proceed to the House Chambers and the same procedure will take place led by Representative Zikmund.
