Band Clinics
A band clinic is an informal meeting and learning session with one or multiple guest musicians or performers. These clinicians advise, teach, guide and coach our students on ways to make improvements and fine tune their work. The educational sessions can be with a larger group or with specific musical sections, depending on the clinicians' area of expertise. For various LHS ensembles, our students have the chance to work with clinicians throughout the school year.
Marching Band Clinic
Daytime
On August 24, 2024, the LHS Marching Patriots are attending the Roosevelt High School Marching Band Annual Marching Clinic along with other local bands. Students participate in the clinic during the day at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls. Students and families will receive messages from our band directors on a more detailed daytime agenda. It's especially important to make sure students have a plan for lunch and dinner, which are on their own.

Evening
Join us for exhibition (non-competitive) field show performances in the evening that are open to the public. Times are TBA. There is a charge to get in. Last year it was $10/person. Since this is a Sioux Falls School District event, tickets will be online with new cashless ticket policies. More info on ticketing and timing will be added when available.

Planning on going? We recommend you wear your new show shirts or Lincoln red. Be sure to also check out these marching band audience tips and etiquette.
Other Clinics
Stay tuned for information on other clinics throughout the school year as more details become available.
