Festival of Bands Volunteers

LHS Band hosts the Festival of Bands (October 2) with the other Sioux Falls schools and we need your help! It takes 100's of volunteers to put on this competition. We are in charge of the evening shift (4:30 - end) and need 70+ volunteers to sign up. There are several times and jobs to choose from. Friends and families are welcome to volunteer too!

Positions include:

• Elevator Monitor

• Band Registration

• Bus Parking

• Pit Trailer Parking

• Band Marshals (escort bands from Canaries Stadium to HWF)

• Aisle Monitors

• Gate Monitors

• Wristband Sales & Assistants

• Program Sales

• Judges Assistants

• Pit Marshal (assist band pits as they enter the field)

• Water Stations

1st competition results

Congratulations to the Lincoln High School Marching Band on a fantastic and electrifying performance in Marshall, MN on Saturday!

• 1st place overall out of 19 bands from 3 states!

• Overall caption awards for best music general effect, visual general effect, individual visual performance, ensemble visual performance, brass, woodwinds, and color guard.

In addition to competitive success, our students had great attitudes, respectful behavior, and were a class act throughout the entire day. We are so proud of you all!

A HUGE thank you goes out to all the volunteers who are absolutely vital to our success. Much of the work goes on behind the scenes for many weeks prior to our season and we are incredibly grateful to all our supporters. A special thanks to all of you who put in so much time on Saturday, especially the Roadies and Chaperones. The Lincoln Band support system is amazing!
