The Concordia College Band will be visiting Sioux Falls on Saturday, February 6, 2010. They will be playing a joint concert with the LHS Symphonic Band that evening at LHS.
We will be feeding the Concordia Band that evening and providing housing Saturday night. LHS band students have already been requested by the Carlsons to let them know who can house students. If you have not been asked by your son or daughter and can help by housing one or more Concordia students Saturday night, please let the Carlsons know.
The tentative plan for feeding the Concordia Band is to have a potluck meal at LHS with students from both bands. More on that later.
The Concordia Band is and excellent band and the LHS Symphonic Band will be one week away from performing at Bandmasters in Brookings, so it should be a great concert – be sure and put it on your calendar now.

The fruit pickup is scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd at the Sioux Falls Armory at the north end of the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds. Pickup times are from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. We will have someone there to help with your order if you need to pick it up before 3:00 pm. Large orders of 11 or more boxes (including beef sticks, string cheese – a change from last year) will be picked up through the garage door on the north side of the Armory. Orders of 10 or fewer boxes can be picked up through the south door.
Please remember to put your fruit in a location where it will not freeze. Do not leave it in your car or garage
Thanks, see you Thursday !
