The QSP magazine fundraiser begins Thursday, September 1. Students can earn around 35% of their catalog or internet sales for their ISA accounts. The remaining approximate 5% goes to support the band.
A QSP representative will explain the program and hand out forms to students during band classes. Forms will be available in the band room for those students who do not have a band period.
ORDER FORMS AND MONEY ARE DUE NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20. Put them in the QSP box on the filing cabinets in the band room. Make sure that your name is on the envelope/forms. Verify that the money adds up correctly. Checks should be made payable to “LHS Band.”
If you would like ISA credit for chorus or orchestra, please do not turn those orders in to band, turn them in to the appropriate group.
Your friends and relatives across the country can also order magazines online, and you’ll get the credit! Just ask them to go to qsp.com, click on the Shop tab, and enter the Lincoln band code: 1085931. At the checkout, be sure to enter the student participant’s first and last name so that they will receive credit. Magazine subscriptions may also be renewed.

Family Night was a huge success. Many pork sandwiches and hot dogs were eaten along with a chance to see the first full dress rehearsal of the band. It was a great night to be part of the Lincoln High School Marching Band.
Remember the President’s Bowl “Ticket Blitz” ends Thursday, August 25th. Students should have the order forms. All LHS Students involved in an activity should sell at least 10 tickets for this annual football event held this year on Saturday, Sept. 3rd – Roosevelt vs. OG at 4:30 pm; Washington vs. Lincoln at 7:30 pm.
Family night is this Friday, August 19th, at 6:00 p.m.
Get ready for the FIRST field show performance in uniform at Howard Wood Field. One of the highlights is being able to march with your student on the field for a portion of the show.
The Band Parent Association will be serving pulled pork sandwich meals for $6 and all beef hotdog meals for $5. All meals will include cole slaw, chips, a cookie, and a drink. All band members who have not pre-purchased their meal will need to purchase their meal on Friday night.

Band uniforms will be distributed THIS week.
Each band member will be fitted and issued all pieces of their uniform at that time. To expedite the process, please come prepared.
To receive a uniform, students must (a) hand in the completed Rules for Band Trips and a recent wallet sized photo.
Uniforms will be distributed in the LHS band room according to the following schedule. If you cannot come on the evening your grade is designated, you may come on a later evening.
Seniors: Monday, August 8th, 5:15-6:30 pm Juniors: Tuesday, August 9th, 5:15-6:30 pm Sophomores: Wednesday, August 10th, 5:15-6:30 pm Freshmen: Thursday, August 11th, 5:15-6:30 pm "Last Chance" Friday, August, 12, 12:15-1:30 pm
