The annual fruit sale began last Thursday, November 3rd and will be offered through Friday, November 18th. Students will earn 25% of their sales for their ISAs.
Order forms were handed out during band periods. Forms will also be available in the band room for those students who do not have a band period.
Delivery is scheduled for Monday, December 12th, at the Armory on the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds. We will need volunteers to help sort and distribute fruit on the 12th so please consider volunteering on that day if you are able.

Be sure to attend our annual Awards Night on Tuesday, Nov. 7th. We will highlight this season’s spectacular performances and recognize superior band achievements. This is an open invitation for all parents, family members, and all band members to attend this FUN finale to our “RED” competitive season. In addition to awards being presented by our band directors, the LHS Bandparent Association will also be presenting several awards to deserving individuals. Our final event of the marching band season is not to be missed!

Baumgartner’s, a local Christmas tree seller with an outstanding tradition, agreed to add us to the list of groups able to sell fresh Christmas wreaths and evergreen items as a fundraiser to our band students. Students will receive 40% of all sales into their ISA, so if you sold just 10 small wreaths and 5 medium wreaths you would have $114 go into your student’s ISA. These are an easy sell because the prices are very affordable, and have been a very popular fundraiser for other non-profit groups in our community for many years. We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our band students.
You will have until Friday, October 21st to take orders and turn them into the collection box in the bandroom labeled “Band Wreath Orders”. Checks should be payable to LHS Band. Orders will be ready for the students or parents to pick up after school at LHS on November 22nd so they are available to anyone wanting them before Thanksgiving break. This will also give you the opportunity to sell to family and friends that you may see over the Thanksgiving weekend. Consider contacting businesses that would normally buy these types of items for holiday decorations, with the benefit going directly into your child’s ISA. GO SELL SOME WREATHS AND SEE YOUR ISA GROW FAST! Click to see Wreaths. Click on to access order form.
