Mr. Carlson & Mr. C were recent “surprise” recipients of this highly-esteemed “Appreciation Hall of Fame”.   Mark Meile, Sioux Falls School District Athletic Director, and Jim Dorman, Activities Principal at Lincoln High School presented Bob & Dan their Appreciation Hall of Fame plaques during half-time of the Washington vs. Lincoln High School Boys Basketball game on January 12, 2012.

We wanted to share their inductee presentation with you:

Bob & Dan Carlson have been co-directors for the Lincoln High School Band for the past 13 years. During this time the Lincoln Band has participated in two Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades in New York City, as well as the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade in 2005. The band was recently selected to make another appearance in the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day, 2013.

Bob and Dan and the Lincoln HS Bands have performed at numerous athletic events at Lincoln High School during their time as directors. They also perform their field shows every year at Howard Wood Field football games and many marching band competitions throughout the Midwest.

Bob and his wife Mary have three children Kevin, Dan and Kathy and six grandchildren; Dan and his wife Julie have two daughters, Isabel and Adrienne.
